Amrita Vidyalayam, Chavakkad celebrated Guru Purnima with profound devotion and gratitude on 29 July 2026. The programme commenced at 9:30 a.m. in the school prayer hall in the divine presence of Sampoojya Swami Vivekamritananda Puri, Senior Disciple of Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and In-charge of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kozhikode.

The celebration began with Amma's Padapooja, reverentially performed by our Principal. Accompanied by soulful bhajans and prayers, the sacred ritual filled the hall with an atmosphere of peace, devotion, and divine grace, reminding everyone of Amma's boundless love and compassion.
Swamiji then led the Sanskriti Puja and delivered an inspiring message on the significance of the Guru, the importance of respecting parents, and the values of humility, gratitude, and selfless service.
The most touching moment of the celebration was a special Padapooja performed by the students for their parents, as guided by Swamiji. With folded hands and hearts overflowing with gratitude, the students worshipped the feet of their parents, expressing their love, respect, and appreciation for their countless sacrifices and unconditional care. The deeply emotional ceremony brought tears to many eyes and beautifully strengthened the sacred bond between parents and children.
Students, parents, and teachers participated wholeheartedly, making the celebration a truly memorable and spiritually uplifting experience. The programme concluded with prayers for universal peace and the well-being of all. Guru Purnima 2026 left everyone inspired to cherish the blessings of the Guru and parents and to walk the path of love, gratitude, and righteousness.
