Amrita Vidyalayam Cheruthuruthy celebrated Chocolate Day on July 7 th .Children of Pre-KG to Second Std wore brown coloured dress. They presented some craft works made with chocolates beautifully on that day, some chocolate dishes were made by students with the help of teachers by cutting chocolate packets ,mixing chocolate powder with their tiny hands and rolled out small laddoos by themselves. A few students talked about the importance of dark chocolates. Fun activity like guessing the colour of GEMS was also done for pre -KG students. Students traced and coloured chocolate wrappers in chart paper .A photo session was also done for the students .

As part of the Chingam 1 Farmers' Day celebrations, our school organized a vibrant Agricultural Fair (Kaarshika Mela) to honor the hard work of farmers and raise awareness about traditional agriculture among students.
The highlight of the day was an impressive exhibition of various agricultural products. Students actively participated by bringing a rich variety of fresh vegetables, leafy greens, tubers, and traditional crop yields from home. The classrooms and display counters transformed into colorful showcases of organic produce, reflecting the agrarian culture of Kerala.

The session began with a PPT presentation introducing basic bicycle safety, followed by a video demonstration on repairing cycles and changing oil. To provide hands-on learning, a mechanic from a nearby workshop was invited to explain and demonstrate key maintenance skills such as fixing chains, inflating tires, checking brake responsiveness, and lubricating the chain. The activity helped students develop practical skills while reinforcing the importance of regular bicycle maintenance for safe commuting

Amrita Vidyalayam, Cheruthuruthy held its Investiture Ceremony on 24/06/2026 at 9:30 AM, with M.S. Satheesh Kumar, Sub Inspector of Police, Cheruthuruthy Police Station, as Chief Guest. Students in white uniforms assembled for the oath-taking, after which the Chief Guest pinned sashes marked “HEAD BOY,” “HEAD GIRL,” “CAPTAIN,” and “VICE CAPTAIN,” and handed over house flags in red, blue, green, and yellow to the newly appointed student leaders. Middle school students took part in a hands-on vegetable gardening session to learn sustainable practices, while higher class students participated in a Tree Plantation Drive across the campus. A demonstration on preparing vegetable compost from kitchen waste was also held to teach effective waste management. To further deepen understanding, an inter-class Environmental Quiz was conducted for all classes, and a Poster Making Competition on environmental themes encouraged creative expression among students.

A character explanation was also done by the senior students .Fancy dress was conducted according to various situations developed in story. Characters like Rama ,Seetha, Lakshmana, Bharatha (both in King's and in vanavasa atttire), Hanuman, Jadayu, Kaikeyi, Manthara, Shabari, were presented on stage. Students listened curiously about each character's role in Ramayana. Presentation was done by comparing each character's influence to human mind in negative and positive aspects .Everyone enjoyed listening to the story and understanding it's importance in present era. Best Character presentation was of Jadayu and certificate for the same was also handed over. Video of Ramayana story was shown to kids and Ramayana stories and sketches were displayed in notice board. We have also conducted Ramayana quiz competition in 3 categories and Ramayana chanting competition for students.
