National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm today to honor the legacy of Sir C.V. Raman and his discovery of the Raman Effect. The event featured a keynote speech that highlighted how scientific temper drives our daily progress and innovation. A major focus was placed on this year's official theme, "Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat," emphasizing the vital role female scientists play in the nation's growth.

Pop corn day was celebrated by kg,1st and 2nd std students on 19th January.All students wore yellow dress on that day.They prepared popcorn with the help of teachers and kids.Kids distributed popcorn among their friends and teachers.They coloured "popcorn packets". Student chefs prepared popcorn and a mock sale was done from their popcorn stall. Photoshoot was also there for them.

The Annual Day Celebrations of Amrita Vidyalayam took place on January 9, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the school premises. The event was a grand success, with students showcasing their talents through various performances, including music, dance, and drama.The celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome speech and the presentation of the Annual Report. The Guest of Honor, Sri. Bhavin Vinod, and Chief Guest, Dr. Smitha R, praised the students' efforts and emphasized the importance of discipline and clear life goals.The prize distribution ceremony recognized the outstanding achievements of students in academics and co-curricular activities. The event concluded with enthusiastic cultural programs, leaving a lasting impact on every one.

Amrita Vidyalayam in Pathanamthitta observed International Mother Language Day with a series of meaningful activities that aimed to uphold the importance and value of the mother tongue.
Children delivered speeches on the importance of their mother tongue in shaping their identity, culture, and thoughts. They took a pledge to respect and use their mother tongue in their day-to-day life. Teachers from the Malayalam department addressed the students on the importance of preserving their mother tongue, which is Malayalam in this case, and its need to be passed on to the coming generations.
To reinforce this message, communication across the school for the day was done through Malayalam, and children got a chance to feel the joy of speaking and expressing themselves through their mother tongue. The programs were designed to enable children to comprehend the importance of mother tongue, foster a sense of respect for different languages, instill a sense of responsibility towards language preservation, and enhance communication skills through one’s mother tongue.
At the end of the day, children had become more proud and loving of their mother tongue, and this resonated with the global sentiment of International Mother Language Day.

On 30 January 2026, as part of the Bagless Day activity, a value-based classroom-oriented skit was presented during the morning assembly. All four houses participated and showcased short skits highlighting important values such as respect, honesty, discipline, and teamwork in a classroom setting. The performances were engaging and conveyed meaningful messages, making the assembly both enjoyable and educational for the students.

In order to create awareness about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose a speech was conducted in the assembly by Aadhya Prakash of VIII A. The speech highlighted the unwavering commitment of Netaji to India's complete independence, his revolutionary approach, and his extraordinary courage.. The speech was very inspiring.
A PPT on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was prepared and presented by Hari P M & Adhvay Vinesh which focussed on his journey as a revolutionary leader, his strategic approach to achieving Indian independence, and his charismatic leadership of the Indian National Army (INA). The presentation also highlighted his transformation from a promising civil servant to a staunch, militant nationalist, and his ultimate legacy. The PPT preparation developed critical thinking, digital literacy, and organizational skills. It also improved their communication abilities

In the third week of January, our school organized a Handwriting Competition for students from Classes I to VIII with the aim of encouraging neatness, language skills, and creativity among learners. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of all sections.
The competition was conducted in different languages according to the class levels. For Classes I and II, the competition was held in Malayalam, helping the young learners develop their basic writing skills in their mother tongue. Classes III and IV participated in the Hindi Handwriting Competition, which enabled them to improve their script and presentation. For Classes V, VI, VII, and VIII, the competition was organized in English, focusing on clarity, spacing, and overall handwriting style. In addition to this, a Sanskrit Handwriting Competition was also conducted specially for Classes VII and VIII to promote interest and proficiency in classical language writing.
Students participated with great interest and dedication. The judges evaluated the entries based on neatness, uniformity of letters, spacing, and overall presentation. Winners were selected from each class, and their efforts were highly appreciated by the teachers .
The competition proved to be a meaningful activity that enhanced students’ writing abilities and motivated them to develop good handwriting habits. It was a successful event that highlighted the importance of discipline and practice in written communication.

Educational videos on scientific discoveries and the contributions of Indian scientists were shown. The students watched attentively and gained valuable knowledge.
