The Onam celebrations in our school was conducted with great enthusiasm and joy. The entire campus was filled with a festive spirit as students and teachers came together to celebrate the traditional festival of Kerala. A house-wise competition was held for flower carpet, where students arranged colorful flowers in attractive patterns, symbolizing prosperity and harmony. Students also actively participated in Oonjalattam, the plus two students dressed up as Puli and Onapottan, the highlight of the day was the grand Onasadhya. A traditional feast with a variety of delicious dishes was served on banana leaves. Everyone enjoyed the meal together, creating a sense of unity and happiness. The flavors of the traditional curries, payasam, and other dishes truly reflected the essence of Onam. Various fun-filled games were also organized as part of the celebrations. Students enthusiastically took part in them. Games like the lemon-and-spoon race and musical chairs brought laughter and excitement.
The traditional game Sundarikk Pottukkuthal added more fun, while the energetic tug of war was a thrilling experience for all. A grand Mega Thiruvathirakkali was also performed by the girls, which added grace and cultural charm to the event. The entire day was filled with cultural spirit, joy, and togetherness.
