Mata Amritanandamayi Math
The Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM) is a global charitable organization founded in 1981 by Indian spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi. Headquartered in Amritapuri, Kerala, MAM aims to uplift humanity spiritually and materially. It conducts extensive charitable activities, including disaster relief, healthcare, environmental programs, hunger relief, and scholarships. MAM also operates Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University and Amrita Vidyalayam schools. The organization is based on karma yoga and is supported by over 3,000 residents and numerous volunteers. People visit daily for Mata Amritanandamayi's blessings. Worldwide, MAM and its sister organizations are collectively known as Embracing the World.
