Karkidakam reminds us that food is more than nourishment—it is a way of caring for our body, mind, and traditions.
As part of the Karkidakam observance, our school organised a Karkidaka Food Fest on 31st July 2026 to help students understand the importance of Kerala's traditional food culture.
Students of Grades V to VIII enthusiastically brought a variety of homemade Karkidaka dishes. Many of them presented the dishes in traditional serving vessels and displayed them with neatly prepared name boards, making the exhibition colourful and informative.
The Food Fest gave students an opportunity to learn about the health benefits of seasonal foods and the rich food traditions of Kerala. It also encouraged them to value our culture, develop creativity, and participate actively in school activities.
The event became a memorable experience with the enthusiastic participation of the students and the wholehearted support of the parents.
