The KG Wing celebrated the timeless grandeur of the Ramayana with great enthusiasm, joy and devotion. The celebration was a beautiful attempt to introduce our young learners to one of India’s most cherished epics and help them understand its enduring values through an engaging and age-appropriate experience.
The little ones looked adorable as they dressed up as a variety of Ramayana characters, transforming the celebration into a colourful tableau of our rich cultural heritage. With their vibrant costumes and charming expressions, the children beautifully portrayed characters such as Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Bharata, Shatrughna, Ravana and other important figures from the epic.
The character depiction segment provided the children with an opportunity to step into the roles of their chosen characters and present their qualities with confidence. Their innocent expressions, gestures and enthusiastic performances added a special charm to the programme.
The celebration was not merely about costumes and performances; it served as a meaningful learning experience for the young minds. Through the stories and characters of the Ramayana, the children were introduced to values such as truthfulness, righteousness, respect for parents and elders, courage, loyalty, devotion, compassion and self-discipline. The portrayal of Lord Rama inspired the children to understand the importance of righteousness, while Hanuman’s character highlighted the power of devotion, humility and selfless service.
The event also helped nurture communication skills, stage confidence, creativity and self-expression among the KG students. For many little performers, stepping onto the stage and speaking before an audience was a memorable achievement in itself. Their cheerful participation and eagerness to portray the characters made the entire celebration vibrant and heartwarming.
