"Reading makes a complete man"....Francis Bacon has rightly said.
Following the theme of 2026, 'Read and grow', Reading Day was observed on 19th June , paying tribute to the 'Grandfather of Letters' and the foster father of reading, Sri.P.N.Panicker, who led Malayalees into the magical world of reading. Kerala Government declared the death anniversary of Sri Panicker to be observed as the Reading Day from 1996.

The Principal,  Academic co - ordinator and Ms. Jisha (HOD Malayalam Dept) shared their views on the significance of reading to the students. A role play competition for grades 3 to 5 and poster making competition for grades 6 to 8  with the theme, Read and grow were conducted.The following week was observed as Reading week with reading sessions.The activities and reading sessions ignited the urge to read in young minds
