Amrita Vidyalayam, Pune, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Mr. Dhaneshwar Patingrao Bhos, an ex-serviceman of the Maratha Regiment. His presence made the occasion proud and meaningful, he also delivered an inspiring speech, sharing his experiences and motivating students to love and serve the nation. The event was anchored by Mrs. Manisha, and the Chief Guest was introduced by Mrs. Madhavi. An inspiring English speech was delivered by Siddhant Sukami of Std VIII A, followed by a Hindi speech by Rushikesh Newase of Std VIII D.
The cultural programme added colour and joy to the celebration. Girls of Std VII presented a beautiful patriotic dance, while boys of Std IX performed an impressive pyramid formation. Students from Std I to IX also gave a vibrant yoga display that was appreciated by everyone. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Reshma, and the event ended on a patriotic note with the singing of “Vande Mataram.”
