Gita Jayanti was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm on December 11th at our school, marking the birth of the sacred scripture, the Bhagavad Gita. This event emphasized the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna delivered on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, focusing on the philosophy of karma and living in the present moment. Students and teachers came together for a soulful recitation of Gita shlokas, spreading the profound wisdom of this ancient text. A speech on the importance of the Gita in modern life was beautifully delivered by Sarika Miss, inspiring everyone to find answers to life’s questions through its teachings.

The celebration continued with the chanting of verses from Chapter 15, led by our Music Teacher – Gopalakrishnan Sir, adding a regional and cultural touch to the event. Students also participated in engaging activities to explore the essence of the Gita, including a lively conversation highlighting the significance of karma and devotion. These activities showcased their understanding and encouraged them to apply the teachings in their lives. The event concluded with a renewed appreciation for the Bhagavad Gita as a guiding light, leaving everyone inspired and spiritually enriched.
