A webinar on International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, including Cyber Bullying, was organised by CBSE on 7th November 2024, under the theme “Protect, educate, empower: Learners call for safe and inclusive schools.”
The theme emphasized the vital role of education in creating safe, inclusive environments, and urged school leaders to uphold their commitments to ensure this from the learners’ perspective. The program was live-streamed via CBSE’s Training Unit YouTube channel.
Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, observed Ramayana Month with great devotion and enthusiasm, providing students with an opportunity to imbibe the timeless values and teachings of the epic. The month-long observance included daily Ramayanam Parayanam and Vyakyanam, offering spiritual insights and a deeper understanding of the Ramayana. A dress-up activity brought the characters of the Ramayana to life, as students creatively portrayed various roles. To further encourage active learning, a Ramayanam quiz was conducted in an engaging manner. The celebration concluded with a grand Patabhishekham ceremony of Lord Rama, followed by the reading of the Bhalasruti. The entire observance proved to be a spiritually enriching and culturally enlightening experience, nurturing devotion, moral values, and respect for India’s rich cultural heritage among the students.
Independence Day is celebrated on August 15th to commemorate India’s freedom from British rule in 1947.It is a day to honor our freedom fighters and cherish the values of unity, patriotism, and democracy.
As part of the vibrant celebrations of DARSH 2025, the Dance Fest brought the stage to life with captivating performances that beautifully showcased the richness of India’s classical and folk traditions. Students from various categories participated with great enthusiasm, presenting classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi, alongside a variety of colorful folk dances. Each performance was a graceful blend of rhythm, expression, and artistry, reflecting not only the students’ talent but also their dedication and rigorous training.
Two of our students, Ganesh G and Nirmal Siva Krishna from Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, successfully participated in the SEED REPORTER Training Programme and were awarded Training Participation Certificates in recognition of their involvement.
National Handloom Day, observed on August 7, celebrates India’s rich handloom heritage and the craftsmanship of weavers across the nation. The day aims to promote the use of handloom products and support the livelihoods of the weaving community.
