As part of the World Environment Day celebration, Amrita Vidyalayam, Tanur, organised a variety of meaningful activities to create awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living.
We were privileged to welcome Ms. Aparna Sudheer, Assistant Agricultural Officer, Tirurangadi, as the Chief Guest. She inaugurated the Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas programmes and inspired the students with her valuable thoughts on caring for nature and adopting eco-friendly practices.
To mark the occasion, the Chief Guest planted a mango sapling on the school campus, symbolising growth, responsibility, and our commitment to a greener future.
Students enthusiastically participated in various competitions and activities. Classes 1 to 5 showcased their creativity through a drawing competition, while Classes 6 to 8 expressed their environmental concerns and ideas through a poster-making competition.
Students from Classes 5 to 10 actively took part in the celebrations, making the event vibrant and memorable.
The programme successfully encouraged students to become responsible environmental stewards and reinforced the message that every small action can make a big difference in protecting our planet.
“Together, let us nurture and build a cleaner, greener, and healthier world for future generations.”
