Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanyakumari, an upcoming CBSE School is situated in world’s only confluence of three seas namely the Bay of Bengal, The Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean otherwise named after ‘Triveni Sangaman’, an sprawling on a 5.25 areas campus, commenced its academic yatra in the 2011. The campus stands unique and majestic with state of the art infrastructure and robust values system to hone the students to outperform in every aspect. Under the aegis of IIT, Madras, we offer an integrated course for Class 11 and 12 to prepare for the completive examination. Whats New
Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanyakumari, observed World Environment Day with a Bee-Flora Planting Drive organised by AYUDH (Awaken Youth Unite for Dharma), the youth movement guided by Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma).
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Arumugam, Assistant Director, Department of Horticulture, Kanyakumari, in the presence of Mrs. Jeyasri, Principal, Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanyakumari. Teachers, AYUDH coordinators and students participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said, "Creating green spaces and protecting pollinators are essential steps towards preserving biodiversity. Initiatives like these help students understand their role in environmental conservation and encourage them to become responsible stewards of nature."
As part of the drive, students planted 10 saplings to support bees and other pollinators and to promote biodiversity within the school campus. The initiative contributed to creating a greener and more pollinator-friendly environment while raising awareness about environmental sustainability.
A total of 140 participants took part in the programme. The event highlighted the important role of bees and other pollinators in maintaining ecological balance and food security, while encouraging students to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives.
The programme reinforced the importance of collective action in protecting the environment and building a sustainable future.
Two bright students from Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanyakumari, have brought laurels to the school by excelling in the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2024, organized by CBSE. Lavan Prabhu M.J. (Class IX) and Subin R. (Class X) secured places among the Top 100 students in the Chennai region, a proud achievement for the institution.
The Aryabhata Ganit Challenge is a prestigious competition that tests students’ mathematical skills and logical reasoning. Lavan and Subin’s success highlights their dedication, enthusiasm for Mathematics, and consistent hard work.
The school also credited its team of teachers for playing a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding the students. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in helping students appreciate Mathematics and achieve such remarkable results.
The school administration congratulated the young achievers and expressed confidence that their success would inspire other students.
In a moment of great pride for Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanyakumari, M.J. Abishek, a talented Class VI student, has etched his name in history by setting a Noble World Record for the longest duration in double Silambam stick rotation.
Abishek’s unwavering dedication and passion for the ancient martial art of Silambam have earned him this prestigious recognition. His achievement is a shining example of the discipline, hard work, and pursuit of excellence that are deeply embedded in the culture of Amrita Vidyalayam.
Speaking about the achievement, the school administration expressed immense pride and congratulated Abishek for his remarkable feat, wishing him continued success in all his future endeavors.
