Aarppo - Onam Celebrations 2024

Onam commemorates the legacy of a life of equality, unity and prosperity. The festival of Onam is dedicated to the King Mahabali, who sacrificed himself along with his kingdom in order to stand true to his words. On 13th September, the celebrations started with the setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) in the prayer room. The character presentation of the arrival of Mahabali along with Vamana was well-received by the staff and the children. Pre-KG and KG children brought flower petals of different colours from home and were engaged in making a colourful flower,'Pookalam’. Events conducted were musical chair, group song, Thiruvathira, Thumbi Thullal, Vanchippatt, lemon and spoon and house wise tug of war competition.
