Amrita Vidyalayam marked the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025 with an engaging and educational celebration aimed at fostering awareness among students about disaster preparedness and safety measures. The event encouraged children to understand the significance of disaster reduction while promoting self-expression, creativity, and confidence.

Students of Grade XI actively participated in group activities, brainstorming ideas and presenting their insights on chart papers. Through poster-making and discussions, they explored strategies to reduce risks from natural and man-made disasters, enhancing their cognitive understanding of causes, consequences, and preventive measures.

The program also contributed to language development, social interaction, creativity, motor skills, and emotional awareness. By expressing abstract concepts like “safety,” “danger,” and “preparedness” visually, students demonstrated teamwork, imagination, and empathy, making the day both educational and inspiring.
