Amrita Vidyalayam, Lucknow celebrated Diwali with immense joy and devotion on 18th October, Saturday. The program began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by words of wisdom from our respected Principal ma’am about the value and importance of celebrating Diwali. Class 3 sang “Ek Tha Raja Naam Tha Dashratha,” followed by a speech by Pragati (Class 10) on the festival’s significance.
After her speech, Class 6 presented a graceful dance performance — “Katha Sunaate”, depicting the story of Lord Rama. Then, Class 9 sang “Ram Stuti”, and Uma Ma’am delivered an inspiring speech.
Classes 7, 8, and 10 students performed a skit based on the Ramayana. Class 4 sang “Ram Naam Tera Tattvam”, followed by a speech on ways to celebrate Diwali wisely.
Next, Classes 4, 5, and 9 presented “Jo Kesari Ke Laal”, and Classes 7 and 8 performed “Mere Ghar Ram Aaye”. The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
The festive spirit of the day was concluded with Rangoli & Laddoo-making activities.
The complete program beautifully reflected the spirit of Diwali — the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
