As part of Bicycle Day, an informative session was conducted by Mr. Sreejith TS on bicycle safety, maintenance, and riding techniques.
The session covered key aspects of bicycle maintenance, including the proper tightening and adjustment of the brake system, chain, and sprocket. Sir explained how regular inspection and maintenance enhance both the performance and safety of a bicycle.
Students received a detailed demonstration on brake application, with emphasis on the correct use of front and rear brakes to ensure safe riding. Practical tips were also given on maintaining balance and stability while cycling.
Special focus was placed on riding techniques for hilly terrain, equipping students to handle slopes with confidence and control.
Mr. Sreejith TS further explained the classification of bicycles, introducing students to different types such as road bicycles, mountain bicycles, hybrid bicycles, and BMX bicycles, along with their specific uses.
The session was highly informative and helped students gain valuable knowledge about bicycle safety, maintenance, and responsible riding practices. They learned essential skills that will help them become more confident and responsible cyclists.
