On 2nd April 2025 enlightening session by Ashish Pillay focused on active decision-making and time management, essential skills for personal and academic success for students of Std X . He emphasized that conquering the fear of failure is key to making better decisions. Mistakes are a part of learning, and we should reframe our beliefs to see them as opportunities rather than setbacks. Through inspiring examples like Thomas Edison’s perseverance, we learned that determination and resilience help us overcome challenges. By focusing on what we can control, having a backup plan, and accepting change as a constant, we can develop confidence in our decision-making abilities.
In addition, the session highlighted effective time management techniques, such as the SMART goal-setting method and the Pomodoro technique, which help structure time wisely. Managing time efficiently reduces stress and improves productivity. Mental well-being also plays a crucial role in maintaining a balanced life, and the speaker encouraged us to take care of ourselves, seek help when needed, and avoid overthinking. The key takeaway from this session was to trust the process, embrace failures as stepping stones to success, and cultivate a growth mindset for a brighter future.
