Celebrating Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din In Enthusiasm

Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school, to honour the birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet V. V. Shirwadkar, also known as Kusumagraj. The event began with a special school assembly conducted entirely in Marathi, setting the perfect tone for the occasion. The celebration started with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Mrs. Manisha Vyas shared insightful information about Kusumagraj, highlighting his contributions to Marathi literature. Additionally, Mrs. Mandakini Nanaware spoke about 'Granthadindi', emphasizing the importance of reading and literature in the Marathi language, followed by a ' Granthadindi', 32 students from classes 5 and 6 actively participating in the event, showcasing their enthusiasm for reading.
To make the event more engaging, a quiz competition was organized by teachers- Snehal Patke, Manjiri Aaradhye , Varsha Charate , Sushma Kale and Mai Renake for students from classes 7 and 8, focusing on Marathi literature. Students from all four houses—Yellow, Green, Red, and Blue—took part in the competition, demonstrating their knowledge and love for the language. The event was a wonderful tribute to Marathi heritage and literature, encouraging students to take pride in their linguistic and cultural roots.
