Guru Poornima was celebrated in our school with great devotion and enthusiasm. The day was dedicated to honouring teachers, and expressing gratitude to parents through Mathrupooja and Pithrupooja.

Our Guest of Honor Swamiji Vivekamritanandapuri spoke about the importance of Guru in a student’s life and role of parents in character building. Swamiji also highlighted the relevance of Guru Poornima Function. Students washed the feet of their mothers, offered flowers, and applied tilak. Similarly, students honoured their fathers by washing feet, offering garland and seeking blessings.The hall was filled with emotions as parents were moved to tears.Bhajans were sung with the coordination of Swamiji. Prasadams were distributed to everyone.

The Guru Poornima function was a grand success.Students from various classes  prepared posters to honor teachers celebrating the bond of knowledge with themes of gratitude, wisdom and tradition. Mathrupooja and Pithrupooja made the day very special and memorable for everyone. The programme reminded us that teachers and parents are the first Gurus of our life.
