In the third week of January, our school organized a Handwriting Competition for students from Classes I to VIII with the aim of encouraging neatness, language skills, and creativity among learners. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of all sections.
The competition was conducted in different languages according to the class levels. For Classes I and II, the competition was held in Malayalam, helping the young learners develop their basic writing skills in their mother tongue. Classes III and IV participated in the Hindi Handwriting Competition, which enabled them to improve their script and presentation. For Classes V, VI, VII, and VIII, the competition was organized in English, focusing on clarity, spacing, and overall handwriting style. In addition to this, a Sanskrit Handwriting Competition was also conducted specially for Classes VII and VIII to promote interest and proficiency in classical language writing.
Students participated with great interest and dedication. The judges evaluated the entries based on neatness, uniformity of letters, spacing, and overall presentation. Winners were selected from each class, and their efforts were highly appreciated by the teachers .
The competition proved to be a meaningful activity that enhanced students’ writing abilities and motivated them to develop good handwriting habits. It was a successful event that highlighted the importance of discipline and practice in written communication.
