The 79th Independence Day of our nation was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Amrita Vidyalayam Changanassery on 15th August 2025. The entire campus was filled with the spirit of freedom and unity.

The programme began with the flag hoisting ceremony. Our respected Principal hoisted the national flag, and the whole gathering saluted it with pride, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students presented a colourful march-past showcasing discipline and coordination.

Patriotic songs, dances, and skits highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of freedom were staged by the students. Speeches in English, Malayalam, and Hindi reminded everyone of the value of independence and our responsibility towards the nation. Charts, posters, and models prepared by the students were also displayed on the campus.

The Principal, in the address, urged the students to uphold the values of truth, unity, and selfless service and to grow as responsible citizens. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets.

The day’s celebration instilled in everyone a deep sense of pride in being an Indian and motivated the students to contribute positively to the progress of our country.
