Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, celebrated Onam on August 29, 2025, with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The program began with a prayer, followed by a series of vibrant events that showcased the cultural richness of Kerala. A beautifully crafted pookalam, designed by students and teachers, reflected creativity and teamwork, while the impressive costumes of Mahabali and Vamana revived the legendary tale of Onam. The Head of the Malayalam Department, Ms. Jyothisre M. G., delivered an inspiring Onam message that emphasized the values of unity and tradition.

The celebration was further enriched with cultural performances such as Thiruvathira, Pulikali, Kaikottikali, Kalaripayattu, a skit, Onapattu, group song, and a spirited tug of war. Active participation from teachers, students, and non-teaching staff made the event lively, memorable, and a true reflection of the festival’s essence, fostering joy, togetherness, and community spirit
