Ramayana Masam has indeed begun today, July 17th, 2025, and will continue until August 16th. This month-long spiritual observance in Kerala, India, is dedicated to the recitation and reflection of the epic Ramayana, specifically the _Adhyatma Ramayanam Kilippattu_ composed by Thunchath Ezhuthachan. A time for spiritual introspection and seeking divine protection during the lean period of Karkidakam due to heavy monsoons and agricultural inactivity. The epic Ramayana is read in traditional Hindu houses, Hindu organizations, and temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu throughout the month.
National Youth Skill Day is observed annually on July 15 to celebrate and promote the importance of skill development among young people across the country. This day commemorates the launch of the Skill India Mission by the Government of India in 2015, an initiative designed to empower youth through training in various vocational and technical fields. As part of the National Youth Skill Day observance at Amrita Vidyalayam in Pathanamthitta, Keerthana S. of Class X B delivered an insightful and inspiring speech. Celebrated each year on July 15, National Youth Skill Day aims to raise awareness about the significance of skill development among young people, equipping them with the abilities necessary for personal growth, employment, and national progress. In her address, Keerthana eloquently highlighted the importance of nurturing skills in today’s dynamic world and emphasized the role of initiatives like Skill India in empowering the youth. Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kannur. A special awareness session was conducted for students by Mr. P.V. Pushparajan, retired district excise officer. The inauguration of the Mathrubhumi SEED programme was marked by students placing their fingerprints on a symbolic tree canopy.

As part of our cultural enrichment initiatives, Amrita Vidyalayam Pathanamthitta celebrated Ramayana Day with great devotion and enthusiasm. The event aimed to introduce students to the timeless values and teachings of the epic Ramayana, fostering moral education and cultural awareness.
We celebrated the start of Ramayana month with great fervor. Our KG to 2nd-grade students dressed up as Ramayanam characters, watched videos, and Ramayana Parayanam was included during the Prayer Session, fostering a deeper connection with its rich heritage.
The school observed Ramayana Day on July 17th with great devotion. Ms. Bindu recited passages from the Ramayana, while Mrs. Beena V. Nair spoke about Lord Rama's noble qualities and virtues. A quiz based on the epic was also conducted.
