World Computer Literacy Day 2024 - Pathanamthitta
"World Computer literacy day" is observed annually on December 2 to celebrate and promote computer education worldwide. The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of digital skill and computer literacy to cope with today's rapidly emerging technological trends.The 2024 World Computer Literacy Day theme "Empowering Generations Through Digital Literacy".
By imbibing the theme of the day, we in our school celebrate the day with valuable speeches delivered by Vivekanand Ajai Selen of Grade XI and Dhwani Ashwin Menon of Grade IV. The speech emphasized the needs of gaining computer literacy and pros and cons of the technology. Also advised to be a good citizen for the betterment of the society and future world. The celebrations continued with PowerPoint presentation for children of grade VI on the topic "Computer literacy: Essential Skill For Digital Age". The presentation was regarding the components, connectivity, hardware, software and various computers and its applications. We feel happy to share that our head boy Parameswar Suresh of class XI along with our Computer Department Head made the presentation interesting. As a part of the day our computer department arranged a presentation for teaching faculties to improve and furnish their knowledge in digital literacy.The day was great informative and motivate for us to improve the knowledge in the usage of Computer and its related fields."
