World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility at Amrita Vidyalayam, Palakkad. The programme served as a meaningful reminder of our collective duty to protect and preserve Mother Nature for future generations.

A thought-provoking mime performance beautifully depicted the consequences of environmental degradation and the need to preserve our natural resources. These performances touched the hearts of the audience and effectively invoked a deep sense of responsibility towards safeguarding our planet.

As a symbol of commitment towards a greener future, Ms. Deepthi planted a sapling on the school campus, encouraging students to become active custodians of nature. The highlight of the programme was the distribution of saplings to the children, inspiring them to nurture and care for a living plant and thereby contribute to environmental sustainability.

The celebration beautifully reflected the vision of Amma, who teaches us to live in harmony with nature and to regard the environment as an extension of our own family.
