Our school celebrated Vayana Dinam (Reading Day) on June 19 with a vibrant lineup of student-led activities centered on the joy and value of reading. The event opened with thematic posters highlighting the motto “വായിക്കൂ, ചിന്തിക്കൂ, വളരൂ” and featured solo performances  Children also staged both Malayalam and English dramas, including a piece titled “വായനയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം” and “Reading Day English Drama” with roles like Teacher, Son, and Soldier, emphasizing how books shape thought and life. Outdoor segments showed students performing skits under trees using leaves as props, while bulletin boards displayed dozens of handmade drawings, essays, and portraits tied to reading themes. A student addressed the assembly with a speech highlighting the importance of Reading Day.Neha of class 7 also presented a book review on this day.This program  showcased whole-school participation that connected literacy to creativity, reflection, and cultural pride.
