Amrita Vidyalayam, Imayam Thoothukudi celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15.08.2025 with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony by our chief guest Shri. M.Serma Kumar, CT/GD, ITBP FORCE. Continued by the singing of the National Anthem. Our Principal and the Chief Guest shared a small speech about the significance of Independence Day and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Students presented speeches, songs, and dances that highlighted the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, bringing a patriotic spirit to the entire school.

A festive atmosphere was created by the use of tricolor flags and charts on the stage. KG children were dressed up like freedom fighters and national leaders.The children were encouraged to become responsible citizens and cherish the freedom we enjoy today through the program.

Everyone felt proud and united after the celebration ended with the distribution of sweets.
