Amrita Vidyalayam, Thuckalay, celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm, joy and cultural spirit. The celebration brought together students and teachers to experience and appreciate the rich traditions of Kerala.

The programme featured a graceful traditional dance performance, adding colour and energy to the celebration. Students also presented a message from Mahabali (Maveli), reminding everyone of the values of equality, kindness, prosperity and togetherness associated with Onam.

The rhythmic beats of the Chenda Melam, performed by our talented students, created a lively festive atmosphere. Adding to the traditional charm, students from all classes participated in creating beautiful Athapookalam, showcasing their creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm.

The celebration concluded on a delicious note with payasam, a traditional Onam delicacy shared by everyone. The festivities beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, cultural heritage, joy and togetherness, making the Onam celebration a memorable occasion for the entire Amrita Vidyalayam family.
