Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotism. The event began with flag hoisting by Sri. Saifudin, Sub-Inspector of Police, followed by the National Anthem. Students presented patriotic songs, speeches, and cultural performances.

A special “Janani Janma Bhoomi” programme honoured retired military officers and soldiers. Sacred soil from Kanyakumari, Kashmir, and Amritapuri, blessed by Amma, was distributed to all as a pledge of love and service to the nation.
