Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru, observed Guru Poornima with a spiritually enriching Samskriti Puja, inspired by the teachings and vision of Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma).
The programme commenced with Vedic chanting, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. As part of the celebrations, students performed the sacred Padapuja for their parents, expressing gratitude and reverence for their first and foremost Gurus.
Sampoojya Swamini Mangalamrita Prana graced the occasion and guided the ceremony. In her address, she highlighted the significance of the Guru–Shishya tradition and emphasised the importance of gratitude, values, knowledge and spiritual growth in shaping young minds.
The celebration continued with devotional bhajans and Guru Stotra chanting, further enhancing the spiritual ambience of the occasion.
The programme was attended by Principal Mrs. Madhulika, Vice Principal Mrs. Rekha Kamath, teachers, students and parents, who joined together in reverence and gratitude to honour the timeless Guru tradition.
The celebration served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of gratitude, devotion, knowledge and values in the journey of learning and life.
