To mark the auspicious month of Karkidakam, Amrita Vidyalayam,  Mananthavady organized a vibrant Karkidaka Fest Celebration on the school campus, blending tradition, health awareness, and student participation. The event aimed to educate students about the significance of the Karkidakam month, known for its connection to Ayurveda, monsoon rejuvenation, and spiritual practices in Kerala.  

A major highlight of the event was the Karkidaka Food Fest, where students presented a variety of traditional and nutritious dishes like Karkidaka Kanji, Njavara rice porridge, herbal snacks, and payasam, all prepared using seasonal and medicinal ingredients. These dishes are believed to boost immunity and promote wellness during the monsoon season. The principal Sripujitamrita Chaitanya. appreciated the efforts of the students and staff and emphasized the need to follow healthy food habits and connect with our cultural roots.
