Amrita Vidyalayam, Ramanathapuram, organized a “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Rally on 07 July 2026 to promote environmental awareness and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices. Students, teachers, and staff participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation.

The rally was officially inaugurated by Shri M. Dinesh Kumar, M.A., B.P.Ed., NIS, District Sports Officer, Ramanathapuram, at the SDAT Office, Collectorate Complex. The inauguration marked the beginning of the awareness campaign aimed at encouraging responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.

Students carried colourful placards displaying meaningful slogans on reducing waste, reusing materials, recycling, protecting natural resources, and minimizing plastic pollution. They marched through the surrounding streets, spreading awareness among the public about the importance of maintaining clean surroundings and adopting eco-friendly habits.

The rally received an encouraging response from the local community and effectively conveyed the message that environmental protection is a shared responsibility. The participation of the students reflected their awareness and commitment towards building a cleaner and greener society.

The event concluded with an environmental pledge, in which the participants committed themselves to practising the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in their daily lives and contributing towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
