A district-level women’s cricket tournament was held on January 11 at Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangalore, organized by Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi and Amrita Vidyalayam in collaboration with Ikea Sports Academy. The tournament was inaugurated by youth entrepreneur Nandan Malya, with teams participating from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kodagu districts.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Pradeep D’Souza, Deputy Director, District Sports and Youth Empowerment Department, attended as chief guest and distributed prizes. Chethan Bengre, Sahakara Ratna awardee and fishery entrepreneur, was felicitated by Swamini Mangalamrita Prana. Pink Panthers Kalmathi won the championship, while SMS Brahmavara secured second place. The event witnessed active participation from students, staff, devotees, and the public.
