Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and pride. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, followed by Vande Mataram and the National Anthem, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and national pride.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Ashonik Kumar, Additional Assistant Director, Directorate General of GST, addressed the gathering and inspired the students to dream big, work with dedication and use their freedom responsibly.

The celebration featured soulful prayers, a vibrant cultural programme and heartfelt tributes to the brave freedom fighters. The students’ performances beautifully reflected India’s rich cultural heritage while highlighting the values of unity, patriotism and national responsibility.
