Independence Day is celebrated on August 15th to commemorate India’s freedom from British rule in 1947.It is a day to honor our freedom fighters and cherish the values of unity, patriotism, and democracy. Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on August 15th. The program commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony by the Principal, followed by an inspiring speech from the School Head Girl and an insightful Independence Day message by Ms. Ambujakshi Amma P. K., HOD of Social Science. The celebrations included vibrant performances by KG students, melodious patriotic group songs by Classes 3 and 4, and a house-wise Patriotic Songs Competition that showcased the students’ musical talents. A colorful Fancy Dress Competition, where students dressed as national leaders and freedom fighters, further enhanced the spirit of the day. The highlight of the event was the Pyramid Formation, symbolizing unity and strength. The celebration concluded with a sense of pride and patriotism, leaving a lasting impression on all and instilling national values in young minds.
