Amrita Vidyalayam Ramanathapuram celebrated World Music Day and International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm on 22nd June 2026. The programme was organized to highlight the significance of music in enriching life and yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and an invocation seeking divine blessings. The event was graced by Dr. S. Anand, M.B.B.S., D.O., Assistant Professor, Government Medical College Hospital, Ramanathapuram, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to maintain good health, reduce stress, and enhance concentration. He also encouraged students to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits from a young age.
The programme featured a series of yoga demonstrations, where students confidently performed various asanas and breathing exercises, showcasing the benefits of regular yoga practice. Their disciplined performance reflected dedication, balance, and mindfulness.
To commemorate World Music Day, students presented melodious vocal and instrumental performances, celebrating music as a universal language that unites hearts and uplifts the spirit.
