In connection with Amritavarsham 72, celebrating 72 years of pure love and light, Amrita Vidyalayam, Madurai, joyfully embraced Amma’s vision of selfless service by conducting a series of seva activities filled with gratitude and devotion. Every act of seva was a humble offering at the feet of our beloved Satguru Amma, who inspires us to see divinity in all beings and to serve the world with compassion. 

Our seva activities included: 

Food offered to the needy people: Students and teachers lovingly distributed freshly prepared meals to those who go hungry, sharing not just food but also a smile and a moment of care. 

Rice bag distribution: Bags of rice were offered to families in need, ensuring that no one sleeps with an empty stomach. 

Temple cleaning: With great devotion, students cleaned Siddhi Vinayak temple, making it shine as a symbol of purity and dedication, reflecting Amma’s message that cleaning outside helps to purify the mind within. 

Food offered to old age home: Our children visited an old age home, served food with their own hands, and spent time with the elders, bringing them joy, respect, and a feeling of belongingness. 

Sapling donations and plantation: Ayudhians and students came together to donate and plant saplings, spreading Amma's message of love for nature. This green initiative was a step towards nurturing Mother Earth and ensuring a greener tomorrow.

Through these activities, our students learned that seva is not just an action, but a way of life – a celebration of Amma’s boundless love and compassion for all beings. These experiences helped nurture in them values of kindness, empathy, and gratitude, lighting the lamp of selflessness in their young hearts.
