Our school observed Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of social responsibility.The programme commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Human Rights Day and its global relevance. This was followed by thought‑provoking speeches by students, in which they spoke about fundamental human rights, their relevance in daily life, and the responsibility of citizens in protecting these rights.An awareness talk was delivered emphasizing the need to uphold human rights irrespective of caste, creed, gender, or nationality. The talk stressed how young minds can play a vital role in promoting peace, tolerance, and harmony in society.A video presentation was screened to explain why Human Rights Day is observed, marking the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations. Students also presented an informative PowerPoint presentation on legendary personalities who fought for and inspired human rights, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The presentation helped students understand how these leaders contributed to safeguarding human dignity and freedom.The programme concluded with a message encouraging students to practice human rights values in their everyday lives.
