This year, the Navratri festival is celebrated, starting the days with prayer, special speech depicting the nine forms of devis going forward with dance showing the power of the goddess in all forms. Continuing with prayer in Amritam (temple), which is decorated with Bomma Kollu, "establishment of the goddess," referring to the sacred ritual of invoking and establishing the presence of a divine feminine form, or Devi, into a home, temple, or during a festival like Navratri. Then prasadam is distributed among students and staff.
