World Environment Day, celebrated annually on June 5th, aims to raise global awareness and promote action for environmental protection. Organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), it serves as the largest international platform for environmental outreach, engaging millions of people worldwide.
Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated World Environment Day with a series of meaningful activities that highlighted the importance of protecting our planet. The day began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony during the morning assembly, followed by the planting of saplings. A heartfelt speech and a soulful song set the tone for the celebration, while a thought-provoking dance drama created awareness about environmental conservation.
Students from KG and classes 1 to 12 joyfully celebrated Pongal, with the Principal initiating the traditional Pongal preparation. AV shows showcased the festival's significance and rich traditions, making it a memorable experience for all.
Our school hosted a thrilling district-level athletic meet, featuring 6 schools and 145 enthusiastic students. The event showcased top-notch performances in various track and field events, including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, and triple jump, with 55 students winning in various sports events. The Manager distributed medals and certificates, honoring the achievers.
Margazhi celebrations came alive with a unique Palm Leaf Food Fest! Our students savoured traditional dishes cooked in palm leaves, promoting this eco-friendly practice.

Abdul Kalam, the former President of India and a renowned scientist, who championed education and inspired millions of students. The day emphasizes the importance of education, youth empowerment, and the need to create a better future through learning.
Happy Chocolate Day ...... the perfect occasion for our toddlers to taste the richness of yummy chocolate bars.A colourful event with choco outfits, games and merry making.Kintergatners wished their teachers gifting them chocolates as well.

Our school celebrated National Hindi Diwas on September 11, 2024, to inculcate love for the Hindi language and to understand the significance of celebrating Hindi Diwas. A number of programs were organised to mark this special day. A motivational speech was presented by Hiranmayi M of Class VII. Hindi story was narrated by Akshara J Arun ,Dhwani S Nair of class IV , Sarayu Manoj of Class II and Daksha of Class IV. Hindi Recitation was performed by Geethika R of Class IV and Sreenidhi Shynu of Class II. Children also designed beautiful posters and performed a theme dance regarding Hindi Diwas.
