To honour the spirit of the Quit India Movement, Amrita Vidyalayam, Vatakara proudly organized an Inter-House Chart Making Competition ️ on August 8, for students of Classes VII and IX.
Our school celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri Chandraketu Sharma, Assistant Commandant, CRPF Officer, who hoisted the National Flag and led the gathering in singing the National Anthem and Zenda Geet.

The Ramayan drama and dance performance was a grand and colourful event presented by students from Standards V, VII, and VIII. Around 35 enthusiastic students brought to life the timeless story of Lord Rama. The play beautifully portrayed important incidents such as Rama’s birth, childhood, and education, Sita Swayamvar, Vanvas, Hanuman meeting Rama, the battle with Ravana, and finally Rama’s return to Ayodhya. The stage came alive with vibrant costumes, expressive acting, and heartfelt devotion, leaving the audience deeply connected to the epic’s rich values.

Our school joyfully celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Dahi-Handi with great devotion and enthusiasm. The program began with a short speech by Arnav Kulkarni of Std. V A, who highlighted the importance of the festival. This was followed by a lively Krishna dance performed by 25 students of Std. VIII, both boys and girls, which beautifully depicted the spirit of Lord Krishna. The most exciting part of the event was the breaking of the Dahi-Handi, carried out by students from Std. VI to X. After this, a vibrant group dance with the participation of nearly 30 students added more charm to the celebration.
