To refresh and energize the teachers for the new academic year, our school organized a special workshop led by the inspiring Dr. Shaurya Kuttappa. The day began with the lighting of the lamp at the Lotus Feet of Amma, followed by a prayer song that set a serene tone for the sessions ahead. Our respected Principal welcomed the gathering with a heartfelt speech. The workshop was designed around Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle and the Johari Window model—tools that guided teachers through a journey of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal communication. Through engaging group discussions, storytelling, simulations, and self-reflective activities, the sessions encouraged participants to rediscover their strengths, understand their impact on others, and build more effective classroom relationships.
As the workshop coincided with World Environment Day, it concluded with a beautiful green gesture. A sapling was presented to Dr. Shaurya Kuttappa as a token of love and appreciation, acknowledging his insightful contribution. Some of our teachers also received saplings, symbolizing their role in nurturing not only young minds but also the environment. The entire day—from capturing expectations, reflective questioning, interpersonal skills building, to journaling learnings—was a perfect blend of heart and mind. It was indeed a memorable and meaningful beginning to the academic year, planting seeds of growth, empathy, and inspiration within every teacher.
