Amrita Vidyalayam, Manjeri observed Statistics Day on June 29th to commemorate the invaluable role of statistics in shaping our daily lives and national development.
The program began with an informative speech by a student, highlighting the significance of statistics in various fields such as economics, education, health, and policymaking. The speech paid tribute to Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, the pioneer of statistics in India, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Statistics Day.
A creative and engaging house-wise poster-making competition was also held, where students expressed statistical concepts through vibrant visuals and meaningful messages. The activity encouraged analytical thinking and artistic expression while deepening the students’ understanding of the subject.
