Amrita Vidyalayam witnessed a spectacular celebration of energy, enthusiasm, and athletic excellence as the school hosted its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet. The event, held on the school grounds, brought together students, teachers, and parents to cheer for young athletes displaying their skills, stamina, and team spirit.

The day began with Lighting of the Lamp and Prayer. The Guest of Honour – a well-known individual who is the Assistant Commandant of the Kerala Armed Police hoisted the School Sports Flag and addressed the gathering. The much-awaited Annual Sports Meet was officially declared open by The Principal by releasing a white pigeon into the sky, marking the commencement of the games. The soaring pigeon symbolized the values of harmony, courage, and fair competition, setting the tone for a day filled with enthusiasm, determination, and athletic excellence. A grand march-past, where students from different houses showcased synchronized drills, discipline, and pride, setting a perfect tone for the competitions ahead. The lighting of the ceremonial Olympic cauldron ignited the spirit of participation, camaraderie, and healthy competition. It marks the official start of the Games and represents the ideals of peace, unity, and human achievement.

The sports events ranged from track races, relay races, long jump, high jump, and shot put to fun-filled activities for younger students, ensuring that everyone could take part and enjoy the thrill of the day. Each event witnessed tremendous energy and sportsmanship, with students pushing their limits while supporting their peers with cheers and encouragement.

The awards and medals distributed at the end of the day recognized not only excellence but also determination, perseverance, and fair play.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the students, teachers and staff for their support in making the day a grand success.
