Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and commitment to a greener tomorrow. Student creations including posters, slogans & Environment Day badges displayed on the school notice board, prepared under Science teachers’ guidance. A special assembly was conducted with a speech by Keerthana, VIII B on the significance of the day. The Sustainable Development Pledge was led by Rithika Shailesh, VIII B & the Environment Day Pledge by Ward Councillor Adv. Suresh Kumar.

The celebration was inaugurated by Municipal Chairperson Mrs. Sindhu Anil, who inspired students to protect nature and act responsibly. An Environment Day message on conserving resources was delivered by Ward Councillor Adv. Suresh Kumar. A sapling-planting ceremony was conducted with Krishi Officer & Krishi Bhavan officials, joined by dignitaries, teachers & students. The vote of thanks was proposed by Vice Principal, Sumangala Teacher. The entire celebration, held under the guidance of the Principal, reminded us that every sapling planted is a promise for tomorrow.
