Republic Day and Annual Sports Day celebrations were held at Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysuru on January 26, 2024.

Our little stars have graduated, leaving a trail of joy and laughter in their wake. On February 10, 2024, we celebrated the tiniest triumphs and the beginning of grand adventures on Amrita Kindergarten’s Graduation Day!

We celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2024, with boundless enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event honoured our brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom, peace, and prosperity. 

This year, India commemorated its 78th Independence Day with the theme 'Viksit Bharat,' envisioning a developed India by 2047. We pledged to contribute toward fulfilling this vision. 

Our respected Principal, Swamini Amma, Academic Director Sri Thirugnanam, and Head of the Physical Education Department, Sri Yuvaraj, warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guests: Sri Rajnish Diman (Subedar, 4th Battalion, NCC Officer, Mysore), Sugandi Amma, and Bri. Amartya, along with the cherished audience. 

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing unity, peace, and enlightenment, accompanied by shloka chanting by Vedic students. Our honourable chief guest, Sri Rajnish Diman, unfurled the National Flag, followed by the National Song and Anthem. A spirited and disciplined march past by the students showcased their pride and love for the nation. 

The chief guest addressed the gathering with thought-provoking and insightful words, inspiring all present. 

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural program featuring: 

• Scintillating dance performances
• Soul-stirring patriotic songs
• A creative fancy dress segment
• A compelling skit on freedom fighters
• A captivating yoga demonstration 

Students from Pre-KG to Class 10 participated enthusiastically, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour. 

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the Shanti Mantra. The celebration was truly memorable, fostering a spirit of patriotism, unity, and harmony among all. 

Under the guidance and support of our principal, AVM Nursery joyfully celebrated Green Day, a fun-filled and educational event aimed at nurturing a love for nature and the environment in our young learners. 

Highlights of the Celebration: 

Creative Crafts: The children unleashed their creativity with green-themed activities, including sponge dabbing and creating nature collages. Their vibrant artworks beautifully reflected the essence of Green Day. 

Story Time: Engaging stories about nature and the environment captivated our little ones, inspiring their imagination and instilling curiosity about the world around them. 

Healthy Green Snacks: The children enjoyed nutritious green treats like cucumber slices and green grapes, promoting healthy eating habits while tying into the day’s theme. 

Songs and Rhymes: The celebration concluded with cheerful songs and rhymes about nature, leaving everyone with joyful smiles and a renewed sense of environmental stewardship. 

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for dressing the children in green and contributing to the success of this special day. Together, we are fostering a generation that loves and cares for our planet. 

With the grace of Sadguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi and the guidance of our beloved Principal, Swamini Amma, Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2024. 

The event was a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation’s safety and security. The celebration began with students delivering inspiring speeches, singing patriotic songs, and reciting poems, creating an atmosphere filled with deep patriotism and pride. Teachers and students together paid homage to the martyrs by lighting lamps and concluded the program with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra. 

To further honour the day, inspirational and emotional videos of the Kargil War were screened in all classrooms, allowing students to reflect on the valour and sacrifices of our soldiers. 

The program was a solemn and meaningful tribute, instilling a sense of respect, gratitude, and pride for the heroes who safeguard our nation. 

“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life.” 

With the grace of Sadguru Amma and the guidance and blessings of our beloved Principal, Swamini Amma, the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2024-25 was held with great enthusiasm and dignity at Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore. The event was a grand success. 

The ceremony was presided over by esteemed Chief Guests, Lt. Ravi T. S., Academic Director and NCC Officer at the University of Mysore, and Sugandi Amma, a senior devotee of Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt, along with other distinguished dignitaries. 

The event commenced with a guard of honour presented by the school band to the dignitaries, followed by the lighting of the auspicious lamp and the chanting of Vedic mantras, setting a spiritual tone for the occasion. 

The elected student leaders were ceremoniously conferred with badges and sashes by the Chief Guest and dignitaries. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony, where the Student Council Members pledged to uphold the school motto, Truth and Loyalty, with dedication and pride. 

In his address, Chief Guest Lt. Ravi T. S. congratulated the student leaders and encouraged them to embody honesty, unity, discipline, and morality in their leadership roles. Sugandi Amma also appreciated the school’s progress and commended the newly elected leaders for their dedication and commitment. 

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, leaving an indelible impression of inspiration and responsibility on all present. 

Under the graceful guidance of our beloved Principal, Swamini Amma, Guru Poornima was celebrated with devotion and reverence on 21st July 2024. This sacred day serves as a reminder to express our gratitude for the wisdom and guidance we have received from our Gurus. 

The celebration commenced with heartfelt participation from students and staff. Respected Principal Swamini Amma performed Abhisheka, Archana, and Arathi to Sadguru Amma’s Padukam, accompanied by the chanting of the Guru Stotram and Lalita Trishati, along with the singing of divine bhajans. 

Adding a special touch to the occasion, students enthusiastically participated in Samskruthi Pooja, an offering to their parents, acknowledging them as their first Gurus. 

The staff conducted Akhanda Sri Lalita Trishathi Archana Parayana for the well-being of all, followed by the chanting of the 18 chapters of Srimad Bhagavad Gita to commemorate Lord Krishna’s teachings and pray for global peace and harmony. 

The celebration concluded with the distribution of Mahaprasadam to all students, staff, and parents, fostering a sense of unity and devotion. 

On this auspicious day, let us unite in gratitude at the lotus feet of Sadguru Amma and all the Gurus who have illuminated our lives with their wisdom, compassion, and love. May the blessings of the Guru continue to guide us on the path of progress and enlightenment. 

Under the able guidance of our beloved Principal, Swamini Amma, students of Classes 5 to 10 had the privilege to visit the Gujarat Handicrafts Exhibition on 11th July 2024. The exhibition showcased a stunning array of handcrafted items, including jewellery, textiles, paintings, nail art, and more. This visit provided students with an enriching experience, exposing them to diverse forms of artwork, supporting artisans, and fostering an appreciation for India's vibrant handicraft traditions. 

On 13th July 2024, artisans from the exhibition were invited to the school, where they demonstrated nail art and gift-pack crafting techniques. These live demonstrations inspired the students, igniting their creativity and enthusiasm for engaging in artistic endeavours. Respected Swamini Amma honoured the artisans, appreciating their skill and dedication. 

The celebrations continued on 14th July 2024, when teachers and students gave spectacular performances at the handicraft exhibition. Teachers sang devotional songs, while students performed a captivating ‘Navadurga’ Bharatanatyam dance, mesmerizing the audience. Adding to the event's grandeur, Shri. Karthik Upamanyu and his group performed the traditional Kamsale folk dance, leaving everyone spellbound. 

The Gujarat Handicrafts Exhibition was a memorable event, offering students and staff an opportunity to celebrate and connect with the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship and performing arts. 

On January 21st, the eve of the inaugural function of Ayodhya Sri Rama Mandir, the celebration at our school started with lighting the lamp seeking the blessing of Lord Sri Rama and Satguru Amma, and group chanting of Nama Ramayana and Rama Raksha stotram by teachers and students. The importance of Ayodhya Sri Rama Mandir was shared by Smt. Namitha. Sri Rama bhajans were sung, and Shabari’s devotion towards Sri Rama was enacted by students of Std. 8. Sri Rama’s Ashtottara chanting was followed by Mahamangala Aarathi, and prasadam was distributed to all the students.

On January 22nd, students had the privilege to witness the live streaming of the inaugural function. The programme concluded with shanti mantra.
