Our school celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri Chandraketu Sharma, Assistant Commandant, CRPF Officer, who hoisted the National Flag and led the gathering in singing the National Anthem and Zenda Geet. The pledge was then taken, followed by a melodious patriotic song “जय तू जननी जन्मभूमी पुण्यभूमी नमः आदराम्” sung by students of Std. VI, VII, and VIII. A special highlight of the event was the Badging Ceremony of prefects and vice-prefects. The students also expressed their love for the nation through inspiring speeches—Shrutika Golhar of Std. X B spoke in English, while Ananya Naik of Std. X A delivered her speech in Marathi. Adding colour and energy to the event, students of Std. X performed a Patriotic dance” Jayostute Jayostute shri mahan mangale “.

The Chief Guest, Shri Chandraketu Sharma, shared his experiences and thoughts, motivating the students with his inspiring words on discipline, patriotism, and the importance of serving the nation. His speech instilled a sense of pride and responsibility in everyone present. The introduction of the Chief Guest was done by Mrs. Rekha Bakshi, and the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Jwala Nair, expressing gratitude to all who made the event memorable. The programme concluded with the soulful rendering of Vande Mataram, leaving the atmosphere charged with patriotism and unity.
