Amrita Vidyalaya, Mananthavady, solemnly observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 30 Jun 2025 due to bad weather conditions at Wayanad, aligning with the global mission to raise awareness about the serious issues caused by drug abuse and illegal trafficking. The event was organized to educate students about the physical, emotional, and social consequences of drug addiction and to motivate them to embrace a healthy and meaningful life. 

The day’s program commenced with a serene morning assembly where a special prayer for global well-being was offered. A rally within the school premises was also conducted. A poster-making competition was held prior to the event, and the best artworks were exhibited around the school campus. These visuals, filled with creativity and impactful slogans, drew attention to the ill effects of drugs and the importance of making informed life choices.
