As part of Amrita Vidyalayam, Bengaluru's value-based learning and cultural activities, the students visited Durga Parameshwari Temple, Chandra Layout, for a temple bhajan programme on 21st July 2026 (Tuesday). The students, accompanied by Suma Ma'am, Sushma Ma'am, Rupashree Ma'am, Binoy Sir, Vivek Praveen Sir, Raghunath Sir, and helper Satish Kumar, left the school at 5:45 p.m. in the school bus and reached the temple at 6:15 p.m.
After the Dwara Durga Namaskara Pooja, the children began the bhajan session at 6:45 p.m. They sang devotional bhajans with great sincerity and enthusiasm, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Their melodious singing attracted many devotees, who appreciated the children's devotion and performance.
As a token of love and gratitude, Amrita Vidyalayam, Bengaluru donated a rose plant to the temple as a memorable gift. The bhajan programme concluded at 7:15 p.m. After receiving the blessings of the Goddess and prasadam, the group departed from the temple at 7:45 p.m. and reached the school safely at 8:15 p.m.
The visit was a memorable and enriching spiritual experience for the children. The programme was highly appreciated by the temple devotees and parents, encouraging the students to continue nurturing devotion, discipline, and cultural values.
