Our school celebrated Independence Day on 15th August with great patriotic fervour. The chief guest of the day was Sreedevi K.P, Assistant Sub-Inspector, who was accorded a warm welcome with a salute by our school band team, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. All students were dressed in white  uniforms for the occasion. On this occasion,Plus one student Sruthydelivered an inspiring speech.Students from KG to class II performed a dance with tricolour balloons to a patriotic songs played on the loud speaker.The students presented a special exercise display tying tricolour ribbons on their wrists, while the younger children performed using small national flags. A fancy dress competition was also conducted in which all students participated enthusiastically and prizes were distributed to the winners. An inter-house patriotic song competition was held and prizes were awarded. The KG section made flags using coloured papers and also did a creative activity where they poured the three colours of the flag into water to create a flag model with the help of a mobile flashlight. Sweets were distributed by the Principal. The programme was a grand success and instilled a spirit of patriotism in all.
